In experiments commissioned by the National Toxicology Program, mice and rats were force fed large doses of green tea extract by having tubes thrust down their throats 5 days per week for 2 years. At the end, the animals were killed and dissected.The studies found what thousands of years of green tea drinkers already knew– it’s safe!
