Anthony Bellotti is the founder of White Coat Waste. The New York Times writes, “When Anthony Bellotti, a Republican strategist and devoted cat owner, set out to defend animal rights, he deployed a game plan designed to enlist conservatives to the cause…. [T]he Trump Administration is listening.”
Bellotti’s mission began at 17 while working in an animal testing laboratory. Determined to end animal testing, he pursued a career as a political strategist to prepare for his life’s work. He trained at the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, “the West Point of the political wars.”
Bellotti advised Republican candidates such as Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. While consulting on campaigns to defund Planned Parenthood, he realized the same playbook could be adapted to defund animal testing.
Bellotti founded White Coat Waste in 2011 and authored its supply-side strategy to defund labs, reframe animal testing as government waste, and lead conservatives to the cause. White Coat Waste was the world’s first to expose Dr. Fauci’s beagle tests, uncover taxpayer funding for the Wuhan lab, and shut down USDA’s “Kitten Slaughterhouse” — the federal government’s largest cat laboratory.
After White Coat Waste closed their labs, Bellotti adopted Marigold, Petite, and Delilah — former laboratory cats who became part of his family.
