Back in March, we told you how the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is using your tax dollars to inject baby monkeys with nicotine to determine what dose addicts them, videotape their responses -which include tremors and vomiting- and lock them alone in cages for nearly 3 years.

Despite a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and an associated appeal, FDA has refused to provide WCW with critical information and documentation about this project including costs, primates’ veterinary records, videos of the experiments, and animal welfare violation reports.
The FDA’s failure to comply with WCW’s request constitutes violations of federal FOIA laws, and our legal team has filed a lawsuit against the agency to compel it to release the information.
As the case makes its way through the legal system, please send an email to FDA officials urging them to release documents about their nicotine addiction experiments on baby monkeys and end the wasteful project.
