- A whistleblower letter alleges that a National Institutes of Health (NIH) animal lab long targeted by White Coat Waste (WCW) is in “full coverup mode” over a dangerous monkey bite accident and an apparent international virus smuggling incident that reportedly led to the suspension of animal experimenters and an ongoing FBI investigation.
- In direct response to WCW’s shocking exposé, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has confirmed to journalist Laura Loomer that his agency referred NIH animal experimenter Vincent Munster to the FBI and stated, “I assume he is going to prison.”
- WCW was the first to report that a notorious taxpayer-funded animal experimenter at NIH’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory (RML) named Vincent Munster was removed from the agency directory and reportedly suspended.
- In an anonymous letter recently obtained by WCW, a whistleblower alleges that Munster, who conducts animal experiments with dangerous foreign viruses, attempted to smuggle “dozens of vials in his baggage” on a trip back from Africa in January and lied to customs officials about their contents.
- The letter states Munster “got caught trying to sneak VHF [viral hemorrhagic fever] samples into the United States from Africa” and that NIH officials “did not inform the RML campus and went into full coverup mode.” The source claims Munster and two colleagues traveling with him were quietly banned from the RML campus.
- Additionally, the new whistleblower complaint alleges that a monkey bite was the cause of an incident first uncovered by WCW in January that exposed an RML lab staffer to Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever — a deadly, foreign virus used by NIH for maximum-pain experiments on monkeys.
- The source stated the lab staffer was “bitten by an infected monkey (macaque) that was being tortured (infected and sickened with no pain mitigation)”
- The letter alleges that the accident was “hidden” from most of RML’s employees, and the exposed lab worker was “flown out” to avoid suspicion.
- WCW was the very first to expose how Dr. Fauci funded the Wuhan animal lab. Our exclusive Freedom of Information Act lawsuit also uncovered the “smoking gun” emails proving Fauci’s agency funded EcoHealth’s gain-of-function animal tests — and how the U.S. government funded the experimenter who is Covid’s likely “Patient Zero”.
- RML, and Munster specifically, have long been the focus of WCW investigations and campaigns. We currently have billboards targeting Munster’s experiments near RML.
- WCW’s new investigation is the world’s first to expose these previously unseen documents.
UPDATE (7/13/26): Citing WCW’s exclusive whistleblower exposé, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has fired off a letter urging Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya to shut down RML.
Taxpayers should not be footing the bill to bankroll research that jeopardizes public safety while bureaucrats hide the truth from the American people! https://t.co/xPqUE0gOCP

For years, I’ve sounded the alarm about dangerous virus research, animal lab accidents, and a lack of transparency at Dr. Fauci’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Montana.
Now, @whitecoatwaste is alleging a troubling cover-up of a monkey bite and international virus smuggling.

ORIGINAL POST (5/7/26): From Chinese coronavirus experiments on bats to maximum-pain experiments on primates from Fauci’s Monkey Island and other animals, for years White Coat Waste (WCW) has been leading the effort to find, expose, and defund dangerous, cruel, maximum-pain animal experiments at the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Rocky Mountain Laboratory (RML) in Hamilton, Montana. RML is Dr. Fauci’s bioagent superlab that infects animals with highly contagious, deadly viruses like Ebola, Lassa, Nipah, and even the plague. Fauci’s replacement, Jeffrey Taubenberger, has kept these animal labs—and Fauci’s legacy—alive.
We’re literally running billboards near RML right now calling on Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to defund it.

For years, WCW investigations and lawsuits have exposed reckless, Fauci-funded animal experiments by RML’s Vincent Munster that threaten public health and national security. Back in 2023, we worked with Congress to try and cut Munster’s salary to $1 and have been trying to defund his animal labs since. Our current RML billboards target his tests on bats and primates specifically.
WCW recently received several tips, including an anonymous whistleblower letter, with allegations about Munster, an alleged international virus smuggling scandal he’s reportedly involved in, and concerns about RML and NIH efforts to “coverup” this incident and a dangerous monkey lab accident.

WCW has been working with reporters and federal officials to confirm as many details as possible.
Earlier this week, WCW was the first to report that Munster was removed from the NIH directory and reportedly suspended.

After WCW’s scoop, a subsequent report confirmed our allegations and provided more detail on an apparent Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into Munster for attempting to smuggle “human pathogens, which included monkeypox virus,” without required paperwork earlier this year.

This report substantiates allegations included in an anonymous letter sent to WCW claiming that Munster, who conducts animal experiments with dangerous foreign viruses, attempted to sneak “dozens of vials in his baggage” and “got caught trying to sneak VHF [viral hemorrhagic fever] samples into the United States from Africa” and lied to customs officials about their contents.

The anonymous letter states that NIH officials “did not inform the RML campus and went into full coverup mode” and that Munster and two colleagues traveling with him were quietly banned from the RML campus.

Additionally, the whistleblower letter alleges that a monkey bite was the cause of an incident first uncovered by WCW in January that exposed an RML lab staffer to Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever— a deadly, foreign virus used by NIH for maximum-pain experiments on monkeys.

The source states that an employee was “bitten by an infected monkey (macaque) that was being tortured (infected and sickened with no pain mitigation)” and that the incident was caused by “a monkey bite that penetrated the protective suit.”

The letter alleges that the accident was “hidden” from most of the lab’s employees, and the exposed lab worker was “flown out” to avoid suspicion.
The whistleblower states that decisions to downplay the incidents “have come from the main NIH campus in Bethesda” and that senior NIH officials are “in full coverup mode.”
RML needs to be defunded and decommissioned before Munster and his cronies cause another pandemic.
Not only does Munster abuse primates, but he is one of the main architects and collaborators on the EcoHealth-Fauci Colorado State University bat lab project WCW is fighting.
We also exposed how back in 2018, two years before the pandemic, Munster was the lead author on an experiment that infected bats purchased from a shady Maryland zoo with a Chinese bat coronavirus strain first found in a bat cave by Ecohealth Alliance’s Peter Daszak and the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s Shi Zhengli (the infamous Bat Woman).

And he was part of the original 2018 DEFUSE proposal that provided the blueprint for engineering a coronavirus at the Wuhan lab eerily similar to the one that likely caused COVID.
As we’ve been telling the Trump administration and RFK, Jr. since Day 1: Defund Fauci’s animal labs and clean house at the NIH. Our lives’ and animals’ depend on it.
