Claudia Taylor, Research and Investigations Associate

Claudia Taylor is a Research and Investigations Associate for the White Coat Waste Project (WCW). She digs through various databases and open records in order to follow the money and help us shut down our government’s animal labs.

Claudia has been deeply passionate about animal welfare from a very young age and has dedicated most of her life to animal advocacy. She has a special place in her heart for captive wildlife, specifically Orcas and other marine mammals. She possesses a variety of experience in the field of animal advocacy, including volunteer work for a rescue horse farm, fostering a multitude of cats and kittens, and acquiring a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Animal Welfare Investigation from the University of Maryland. Most recently she completed a 3-month internship with a sanctuary in Costa Rica where she assisted in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of various exotic wildlife.

When she’s not dissecting data obtained through FOIA requests to end cruel and wasteful taxpayer-funded animal experiments, you can find her practicing yoga, enjoying nature, or trying to cuddle with her 3 cats; but she really wishes she was surfing.
