Jared Goodman is General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer for the White Coat Waste Project (WCW), working to develop, support, and execute WCW’s organizational vision and operations strategy.
Before joining WCW, Jared was managing general counsel for a large animal protection non-profit. He has extensive experience in senior management and operations, and his mission-focused advocacy work has included successfully challenging government violations of the First Amendment and public records laws; exposing the federal government’s failure to enforce minimal animal protection laws; and supporting undercover investigations of animal abuse in laboratories and other facilities that have led to closures, charges, and convictions, among many other victories.
Jared received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and studied psychology at the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Jared lives in Oregon with his wife and dog, Paco. When he isn’t working for animals, he spends much of his free time developing and maintaining his native garden, reading about and listening to baseball, and playing guitar.
