Katie McHenry has served as an assistant at D.C.-based public affairs firm BGR Group since 2007. Prior to joining BGR Group, she was a political appointee under the Bush Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she served as confidential assistant to the Secretary of Commerce. In her spare time, Katie volunteers for the SPCA of Northern Virginia and participates in the Washington Humane Society’s Fashion for Paws to raise money for D.C.’s animals.
