If so, we have an incredible opportunity for your donations to White Coat Waste Project (WCW) to have an even bigger impact, thanks to #HalfMyDAF!
WCW is the only group that’s actually shutting down government animal labs. In the last year alone, we’ve:
- Closed the Food and Drug Administration’s largest primate lab
- Ended all painful dog testing at the Dept. Of Veterans Affairs
- Cut taxpayer funding for ALL animal labs in Russia, including Putin’s horrific kitten experiments
We rely solely on the generosity of our donors – AKA you! – to do this important work on behalf of taxpayers and government lab animals.
Meanwhile, more than $234 billion sits unused in DAFs and Community Foundations across the country. The #HalfMyDAF challenge was created in 2020 to inspire more giving from Donor Advised Funds and put those charitable dollars to work by offering unrestricted matching grants to organizations like WCW.
To leverage the power of these charitable dollars, #HalfMyDaf has committed to making dollar-for-dollar matching grants (up to $5,000 each) to nonprofits.
SEPTEMBER 29 DEADLINE: Anyone with a donor-advised fund who makes a grant to WCW – and also commits to spending down half the money in their DAF by September 29 – can nominate us to be one of those nonprofits.
The more donors who commit to granting half of their DAF to WCW, the better our chances are of receiving a match–or even being the lucky non-profit to receive a match of up to $50,000!
