Earlier this year, White Coat Waste exposed a dangerous monkey bite incident at the National Institutes of Health’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Hamilton, MT (aka “Wuhan West”) and an international virus smuggling scandal involving apparently reckless RML animal experimenters.
Now, WCW has filed a new Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the NIH for failing to release documents about RML’s animal experiments and the virus trafficking incident.
WCW’s lawsuit covers seven separate overdue FOIA responses to requests seeking records detailing NIH’s Ebola, COVID, monkeypox, and bird flu experiments on ferrets, primates, pigs, mice, and other animals at RML.
The lawsuit also covers documents related to apparent virus smuggling by RML animal experimenter Vincent Munster, for which he and a colleague have since been charged with felonies by the Department of Justice.
The seven outstanding FOIA requests were submitted by WCW in 2025 and 2026. NIH has been sitting on some with no apparent movement for over 18 months.
This is just the latest salvo in WCW’s campaign to find, expose, and defund RML’s maximum pain animal labs. An earlier WCW lawsuit against NIH forced RML to release videos of deadly experiments on primates and baby pigs.
